Who we are, and who you buy your ticket from

SoGoJet is a flight search and trip-planning app. You browse destinations through a swipe-based interface, see real fares for real routes, save trips, and set price alerts.

You do not buy your ticket from SoGoJet. When you choose a flight, we hand you to our booking partner, Aviasales, which compares ticket sellers for the same route and dates. You complete the purchase there, with the seller you pick. That seller (not SoGoJet) is the party you are contracting with, takes your money, holds your booking, and is who your confirmation comes from.

We never see or take your payment. No card details are entered in this app, and no booking is created on our systems by a handoff.

If you book after we send you there, Aviasales pays us a commission. It does not change what you pay, it does not depend on which flight you choose, and it is the only way SoGoJet is paid. We say so here, on the card, and again on the screen before you leave the app.

SoGoJet is currently operated by an individual developer, from Florida.

Fares shown in the app come from airline suppliers we query directly. The ticket itself is issued by the operating airline and is also governed by that airline’s conditions of carriage.

Prices

Every price shown in the app is a full all-in price: it includes all taxes and all mandatory carrier charges. Nothing is added later by us. US Department of Transportation rule 14 CFR 399.84 requires this of anyone advertising air fares, whether or not they are selling.

THE PRICE YOU SEE HERE IS NOT THE PRICE YOU WILL PAY. It is a fare we checked with an airline supplier, on a day we tell you. Your ticket is sold by someone else, whose price we did not check for that particular card, and their price can be different, sometimes materially. Treat our number as what the route has been going for, not as a quote.

Fares change constantly and a price you see while browsing can change before you act on it. We refresh cached fares continuously and we stop showing a number once it is older than seven days. Past that we show a search affordance instead, rather than a stale figure dressed as a current one.

Where we have no fare we can stand behind for a route, we show no price at all and offer to search it. We would rather show you nothing than a number that turns out to be wrong at checkout.

Optional extras, such as seat selection or additional baggage, are priced by the seller you book with.

Payment and confirmation

SoGoJet does not take payment. There is no card entry in this app and no charge from us can appear on your statement. If one ever does, it is not us: tell us and tell your bank.

You pay the seller you pick on Aviasales, on their site, under their terms. Your booking is confirmed when that seller confirms it, and your confirmation and booking reference come from them.

Keep what they send you. It is the record of your purchase, and it is the document you will need for any change, cancellation or claim. We do not receive a copy and cannot look your booking up.

Changes, cancellations and refunds

Changes, cancellations and refunds go through the seller you booked with, not through us. We did not sell you the ticket, we hold no money of yours, and we cannot cancel or refund a booking we never made. This is the most important practical consequence of how SoGoJet works, which is why it is stated before you leave the app as well as here.

US Department of Transportation rules that apply to the seller (including the 24-hour free cancellation rule for tickets bought at least seven days before departure, and the requirement to refund a credit card within seven business days) apply to the seller you bought from. Ask them, and hold them to it.

If the airline cancels or significantly changes your flight, your rights are against the airline and the seller. Tell us anyway if something goes wrong after we sent you somewhere: we choose who we hand people to, and a seller who behaves badly is one we should stop sending people to.

Your responsibilities when you book

You give your passenger details to the seller you book with, not to us. Names must match the government-issued ID you will travel with; airlines routinely refuse to correct or transfer tickets, and a correction may cost the full fare. Check them on the seller’s confirmation page before you pay.

You are responsible for your own travel documents, including passports, visas and entry requirements at your destination and in any country you transit. We do not verify these, and a ticket you cannot use for that reason is a matter for the seller and the airline.

You are responsible for arriving in time for check-in and boarding as required by the airline.

Your account

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity under your account.

You may delete your account at any time from Settings. Deleting your account does not cancel bookings you have already made. Contact us if you need a booking cancelled.

Acceptable use

Do not scrape, resell or redistribute our content or prices, interfere with the service, or use it to make fraudulent or speculative bookings.

We may suspend accounts used for fraud, chargeback abuse, or attempts to manipulate pricing.

Content accuracy

Destination descriptions, images, weather and recommendations are provided for inspiration and may be incomplete or out of date. They are not part of what you buy, and we make no warranty about them.

Flight and accommodation details come from the airline or provider. Where those details are wrong at source, our liability is limited to the remedies described below.

Limitation of liability

Nothing in these terms limits your rights under applicable consumer protection law, including any right to a refund under US Department of Transportation rules, and nothing here disclaims responsibility for anything we have actually sold you.

The app is provided as-is for search and planning. Fares, availability, destination descriptions, images and weather are provided for information and can be wrong or out of date; we do not warrant them, and we are not liable for decisions you make on the strength of them, including travel you book elsewhere.

We are not a party to your booking. Your contract is with the seller you chose and with the operating airline, and claims about that booking (the price charged, the ticket issued, a refund owed, a flight cancelled) lie against them. We are not liable for their acts or omissions.

What we are answerable for is this app: what we show you, and how honestly we show it. If we display a fare, we say when we checked it and who it came from; if we cannot stand behind a number we show none.

Intellectual property

The SoGoJet name, design, and original content are ours. Airline and partner names, logos and marks belong to their owners and are used to identify the services they provide.

Governing law and where disputes are heard

These terms, and any dispute arising out of them or out of your use of SoGoJet, are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. SoGoJet is operated from Florida.

Any dispute that is not resolved informally must be brought in the state or federal courts located in Florida, and you and we each consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts. This does not prevent either of us from bringing a claim in a small claims court that has jurisdiction, and it does not override any right you have under the consumer protection law of the place you live to bring a claim there.

The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply.

Resolving a problem

Tell us first. Email support@sogojet.com with what happened and what you want done about it. Most problems are a booking detail or a refund and are fixed the same week. We aim to respond within one business day.

If we have not resolved it within 30 days of you telling us, either of us may take the dispute to the courts described above.

You are not required to give up any right to go to court, to join a class action, or to a jury, in order to use SoGoJet. We have deliberately not included a binding arbitration clause or a class-action waiver in these terms.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version in force is the one published when you used the app. Material changes will be announced in the app.
